More About Snorkeling
In the ocean, natural light is brightest near the surface and diminishes as you go deeper. Therefore, some of the most colorful and most active marine life is found near the surface in bright, shallow water. Swimming near the surface also reduces any need for artificial light. In fact, most people can build a stunning underwater photo gallery entirely by snorkeling and without any additional lights. Finally, snorkeling eliminates the need for scuba equipment or a special certification so anyone can go out and have fun in the water taking pictures.
